About me
Hello!
My name is Hilary Wickenhauser and I am the current Miss Teen Carver County International 2014. My platform as Miss Teen Carver County is Readers to Leaders, which means that I am working towards helping end illiteracy in children throughout the world. I live in the small town of Cologne, Minnesota with my mother, father, two younger brothers and one exchange student from Thailand. Along with 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 hermit crabs. I am an active volunteer in my community and am a Charter member of the Cologne Leos Club, a community service club for youth. I am also the vice-president of my Leo club. I am a member of National Honor Society in my school, where I am in 11th grade. In my free time I enjoy reading, volunteering, and spending time with my family, along with traveling, crafting, baking and being an active, involved citizen. I have been raised to believe that I was put on this earth to do more than take up space, and that is what I intend to do through volunteerism.
One of my absolute favorite quotes is as follows,
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!
